Quimper

Quimper (pronounced Kemper) is the closest city to all our mobile homes.

Quimper is within walking distance of L'Orangerie De Lanniron and a short 15-20 minute car journey from La Mer Blanche.

Quimper is a beautiful medeival city in the heart of Brittany, and hosts an array of shops, bars, museums, restaurants, all set in original tudor buildings and cobbled streets. Plus the famous St Corentin twin spired Gothic cathedral dating back to the 12th Century. Quimper is just a short drive from an 18 hole golf course too.

Benodet Beach Resort

Benodet is a firm family favourite with it's golden sands on the nearby blue flag beach, and a lovely promenade hosting shops, bars and restaurants, which leads around to a harbour.

If you're lucky enough to holiday here on either 14th July, Bastille Day or 15th August, the feast of Our Lady of the Assumption, there are spectacular firework displays hosted on the beach.

The campsite is just a couple of minutes drive from the centre of Benodet, or a 40 minute scenic walk, and you are close enough to enjoy the attractions of many surrounding towns and villages plus the 18 hole golf course, 'Golf L'Odet'.

Fouesnant

Fouesnant is a small yet very attractive village, hosting a few shops, bars and restaurants and is just down the road from La Mer Blanche campsite, situated between Benodet and Concarneau. It's lovely for a quiet stroll down to the sheltered beach. Fouesnant is the Cider making capital of the area and is also famous for the elaborate, traditional french headdresses.

Pont Aven

Pont Aven is a small village full of charm and beauty. It has a special place in history due to so many artists, both locally and internationally, capturing the many beautiful scenes onto canvas. It really is well worthy of a visit. Tuesday is market day and although it is a large market, it simply adds to the ambience of the village.

Concarneau

Concarneau is about a half hours ride away from Quimper and 20 minutes from Benodet, it is intriguing with its 'Inter Muros' the Inner Walled City, full of character. Lots of lovely eating places, gift shops, novelty stores, traditional clothing and picnic areas. Friday is market day.

Locronan

A particular favourite of ours. A quaint village where no building is less than 200 years old ! You will find lots of shops selling local merchandise and a glass works selling beautiful pieces and you can also see the glass-blowing. Good sized car park for visitors. Some very nice restaurants or take a picnic.

Point Du Raz

Point Du Raz, historically reknowned for it's smuggling activities. Go out to this craggy piece of Land and look out at the vast Atlantic Ocean - breathtaking !!

Carnac

is a mysterious pre-historic site (akin to our Stone Henge) with approximately 3,000 ancient stones arranged in parallel lines and stretches for two miles.

Lorient and Brest

Lorient and Brest are both a little further afield, about an hour's car journey from the campsites. They are very large cities, with all the big shops here for serious shoppers and bargain hunters.

Isles de Glennan

The Isles De Glenan are a short boat journey away from the coast. Experience a day in idyllic surroundings, clear blue sea and pale sands, next best thing to the Bahamas !!
